SNT PANEL SET PRIORITES FOR POLICE IN PURLEY
This is the report from the Safer Neighbourhood Team:
Our priorities are reviewed every three months by our ward panel in order to ensure we are concentrating on the local policing issues that affect you. The ward panel is formed from members of the local community.
Our current priorities are:
• Tackling Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) in and around Purley town centre.
• Reducing Burglary offences
• Reducing theft from motor vehicles
We hold regular public meetings, drop in surgeries and street briefings in order to meet with the local community and discuss your concerns.
Upcoming events in March/April:
10th March - Street Briefing, 7pm-8pm - Penwortham Road.
30th March - Purley and Kenley Residents association meeting 7pm -9pm - Christchurch, Brighton Road.
6th April - Street Briefing, 7pm-8pm - Woodcote Drive
13th April - Drop in Surgery, 12pm-1pm - Purely Library
27th April - Drop in Surgery, 11am-2pm - SNT Office, Whytecliffe Road South
In addition to these dates, our office is open for general enquiries on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays between 11am and 2pm.

Drug address raided:
On 20th January 2010, the SNT executed a drug warrant at an address in Woburn Avenue, Purley.
Police seized quantities of cocaine, ecstasy tablets and herbal cannabis from within. A 26 year old male was arrested at the scene and later charged with drug offences. The illegal activity has caused distress and annoyance to the local residents in the area. The team are now in the process of ensuring that the illegal activity does not return to the area.
